Homeschool Field Day

November 5 2014 | 10:00am to November 6 2014 | 1:55pm

Recommended for all grades K – 12

Home school students and their families are invited to a special program at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum on Belle Isle. Students explore Detroit’s history through a series of 30-minute hands-on workshops that will have them navigate waterways using sounds like bells and whistles, learn about signal flags and how to tie nautical knots. They will also find the important ports and cities on the Great Lakes floor map. Students can pick and choose which workshops they will attend and record their participation on a Field Days Scorecard.
