'Better Made in Michigan' Book Talk and Signing

December 12 2015 | 11:00am to December 13 2015 | 12:55pm

Bite into the flavorful history of Michigan’s most iconic potato chip at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 12 at the Detroit Historical Museum with Karen Dybis, author of the new book Better Made in Michigan! In a presentation in the Allesee Gallery of Culture, Dybis will explore how these Detroit “chipreneurs” rose from garage-based business to snack food royalty—the only remaining chip company of more than forty that once fed the Motor City’s appetite for salty snacks. Dybis will discuss how Better Made came to be, how its chips are made and how competition has shaped the snack food industry into what it is today.

After her presentation, Dybis will sign copies of her book in the museum store. Pick one up as a holiday gift for your favorite Better Made fan!
